Indiantown Florida is a Census Dedicated Place in western Martin County of over 5,500 residents. Originally, Indiantown was a trading post of the Seminole Native American tribe, but was settled by white American migrants in the 1890’s due to the expansion of a railroad line. Indiantown was a part of the development boom in south Florida until the 1920’s, and today the only structure that remains of that time period is the Seminole Inn which is a part of the National Register of Historic Places. Known for its strong agricultural industry, Indiantown is a large producer of Florida oranges and sugar cane crops. Indiantown is also home to the world’s first hybrid solar energy facility, one of the best horse-racing parks in the country, and one of the most advanced fiber optic networks. With access to the St. Lucie Canal, Indiantown has a connection to both the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Okeechobee unlike many central Floridian communities. Indiantown is a town with a strong sense of community, bustling commerce, and unparalleled natural Florida beauty, making it the perfect place to call home.
